Houston Hynson Beatty, Jr.

Houston was known by everyone as Jim, given this name by a great aunt at an early age. He was born on July 1, 1955 in Virginia and was raised by Warren and Mary Lee in Marshall, Va. On Father’s Day, June 21st, 2026, he passed away at home surrounded by his family. He graduated from Fauquier High School and spent most of his working career as a master carpenter, retiring from Middleburg Millwork. He married Yvonne Soaper and while their marriage didn’t last she remained steadfast at the end of his life helping him through many trials. They had twin boys together Jarrett Lee Beatty (Amber) and Jesse Craven Beatty (Lauren). They were his pride and joy. He is also survived by a sister Peggy Harkness (Richard). A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
